- Berlèse, 1843, Iconographie, pl. 246: “Flower about 10cm across, double of a scarlet crimson of a brilliance difficult to describe. The petals of the circumference, disposed in many rows, are full, cup-shaped, with touches of soft rose; those at the center are erect, a little crêped, numerous and grouped in fascicles. The corolla is rounded, broad, sometimes flat and almost regular.”
